System Requirement

Operating System:  Windows 2000 server or higher operating system (Windows 2003 server)

                Windows Xp or higher operating system (Windows Vista).

Firewall Setting

Windows Xp (Service Pack 2) onwards operating system contains firewall security which blocks port 3306 for database connection. Because of this user has to allow (open) port address in exceptions list of firewall setting.

To allow (open) MYSQL port ‘3306’, make the following changes in settings.

Open Control panel, in control panel open Windows Firewall command. Then click on Exception tab. This will open exception screen. Now click on ‘Add Port’ button at the bottom. This will open one screen with two boxes.

Please add port 3306 as follows

Name: MYSQL_TCP_3306

Port Number: 3306

Click ‘Ok’ button & close the Windows Firewall screen.

Restart the computer & try to install the software using help file.

 

 

Windows Vista Setting:

1.      Turning User Account Control On or Off

You can turn User Account Control off for your account by following these steps:

1.      Click Start and then click Control Panel.

2.      In Control Panel, click User Accounts heading and then click User Accounts again.

3.      On the User Accounts page, click Turn User Account Control Off.

4.      When you click Turn User Account Control Off, you are prompted for permissions.

5.       To disable User Account Control, clear the Use User Account Control checkbox. Click OK.

6.      You will need to restart your computer for this change to take affect.

Control Panel > User Accounts and Family Safety > User Accounts and click Turn User Account Control on or off.

 

2.      Register Supporting files for software.

1.  
   1. Insert IAP Pediatric Software CD.
   2. Open ‘Pediatric Software Installable’ folder in the CD
   3. Go to ‘Supporting Components’ folder.
   4. Open ‘Vista Supporting Files’ folder.

Here, in this folder you will find following four files.

 

1. msvbvm50.dll

2. MSVBVM60.dll

3. nslock15vb5.ocx

4. nslock15vb6.ocx

 

Copy all these files from this folder and paste these files to Path: "C:\WINDOWS\system32\..."

   1. Register all four files one by one as follows:

Click on 'Start' button on the task bar of the computer

Click on 'Run…' in the popup screen.

This will open run command window

 

Type following command in open text box of 'Run' window.

regsvr32  "C:\WINDOWS\system32\msvbvm50.dll"

Click 'OK' button on screen.

This will successfully register 'msvbvm50.dll' file.

 

Now type:

regsvr32  "C:\WINDOWS\system32\MSVBVM60.dll"

Click 'OK' button on screen.

This will successfully register 'MSVBVM60.dll' file.

 

Now type:

regsvr32  "C:\WINDOWS\system32\nslock15vb5.ocx"

 

Click 'OK' button on screen

This will successfully register 'nslock15vb5.ocx' file.

 

Now type:

regsvr32  "C:\WINDOWS\system32\nslock15vb6.ocx"

 

Click 'OK' button on screen

This will successfully register 'nslock15vb6.ocx' file.

 

You should now be able to install the software on Vista.

 

Start installation process of the software.

Please refer ‘IAP Pediatric Software’ installation guide for that.

 

After installation, following things are important. Please read.

 

Do not restart your computer after installation of the software setup.

 

Default users & password:

Password for the main user (Doctor) = blank (no password required directly click on 'Submit' or 'Ok' button to login)

Password for user Reception = 'rec'

Password for Account = blank (no password required directly click on 'Ok' button to login)

 

            Please note: User can also modify these default user passwords from the ‘Doctor’ menu of the software.

 

How to register the software & Where to find Registration code?

Once user installs software successfully, registration code for software will be display on ‘Registration Screen’ which is displayed after login screen of software.

 

1.      Start software by clicking on 'IAP Pediatric Software' icon (blue IAP logo icon) on the desktop of

your computer.

2.      Without entering any password user can directly click on 'Submit' button on login screen. After login screen, Registration screen will appear.

3.      On Registration Screen user ‘software code’ is displayed

4.      Please e-mail this software code with your contact address, contact phone nos & purchase receipt no & purchase date on \n This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Please Note: From the date of installation software will remain functional for 30 days without registration. User has to send the software code as mentioned above with all relevant details prior to expiry. After 30 days software will stop working.

 

Importance of Backup

            Importance of taking regular backups cannot be overstressed

1.      Take back up of your data regularly, on your local hard disc, from the software itself using data back up command on ‘Utility’ menu.

2.      Backup will be helpful in case of System crash or data corruption, which is rare but cannot be ruled out. Backup data can be restored again once system starts working.

3.      User can also take data backup on external drive like pen drive.

4.      Take back up on drive other than windows drive (e.g. Windows Drive is 'Local drive C').

5.      Software back up utility will create ‘IAPSoftwareBackup’ folder on back up drive. User can copy this backup data on CD or Pen Drive

6.      When you take backup through the utility provided with our software, it also performs certain essential checks and database maintenance functions. Regular use helps achieve optimum performance from the software.
